Welcome...

...to my website. The interesting (maybe) content is available from the menu on the left. This frame just exists as a welcome, and an introduction in case you don't know who I am. These two pictures of me are here as more of a joke than anything else. On the left is my High School Senior photograph, taken in fall 1995. On the right is a photo taken about two years later, just before I cut my hair. I've since let it grow somewhat long again, but not that much.

I'm a 22-year-old (sometimes) college student at the University of Illinois. I work in the Math Department on computers, mostly Macs but also Windows 2000 machines. If you need to learn higher math and you're a visual learner, I highly recommend the Calculus & Mathematica program, available on-campus at University of Illinois, Ohio State, several smaller Universities, and anywhere in the world with internet access through the NetMath program.

I have lots of different interests, many of which have their own pages on this site. I love live music, particularly Phish, but certainly not limited to them. I collect and trade CDs of live music. You should check out my list if you're into that sort of thing.

I also love to travel, especially by car or train. I am actually fascinated by cars and trains in general. I have pages on each available from my menu on the left there. I've ridden on a great variety of trains for tens of thousands of miles, and I've driven my van even furthur. I've flown on airplanes too, but somehow flying just seems to take the fun out of a journey (although if the destination of cool it can still be worth doing).

I love Macintosh computers. Apple rocks. I'm typing this right now on my PowerBook G3, the latest in a long line of Macs I've owned. With MacOS X (which I've been using since DR3), Apple has finally fixed most of the basic shortcomings of the MacOS. As they polish this release up (DVD viewing, data CD burning, and a cleaner, faster Finder would be nice...), I expect that the MacOS will clearly be the best OS again.

Finally, I like cats. I have one pet cat named Bear right now. One of my housemates has a cat, but she's moving out in a few months, so i'll probably get another cat to keep Bear company.
